Kagame’s presidency came at a big price, first by the fact that many Ugandan soldiers died while fighting through RPF, it cost Uganda thousands of people in Luwero triangle and of course those Tutsi but mostly Hutus who were massacred enmasse. Rwandese refugees in Uganda were doing so well, never discriminated against both in Ankole, Toro, Buganda where they lived in big numbers. They were never stopped from participating in politics, they attained very good and free education within and outside Uganda and they really did even way better than Ugandans wherever these refugees went to school. If it was not that they decided to turn guns on their Ugandan hosts as they supported Museveni, their brother, who badly wanted to become the president – life president of Uganda, the Rwandese refugees would still be in Uganda and enjoying good life and so would be the Luwerians and Rwandese, Hutus especially who Kagame massacred to become president.
Museveni is owed big time by Kagame and group for the Ugandan forces, armory that aided Kagame to kill and rule Rwandan returned refugees and the lucky remnants of his 1994 genocide. I do not think God took an upper hand in assisting Kagame to become president of Rwanda. God is a loving God and not a killer or supporter of those who destroy his creation.
Both Museveni and Kagame, both married to the Janetes/Jeanettes, will never be forgiven by “US” the surving people, for the atrocities they brought to the human race in E.Africa. Fot this reason, Kagame’s presidency should never be envied as it is too bloodied. Kagame and museveni will forever be haunnted by innocent , precious human blood they shed in tons!.
Even Habyalimana advised the Rwandese living in Uganda to enjoy life in Uganda as Rwanda was small, and he told them in Lewero in Museveni’s company, ” You my people, we should count ourselves lucky, where can you find a refugee becoming a Minister of Defense as our son Fred is, and another one is a director of military medical services etc. Just stay here.” People clapped for the visiting president who imagined he was addressing Ugandan military when he was actually addressing some of the RPF soldiers who were to remove him! That was 1989.
But shortly after Habyarimana’s visit, the greedy Tutsi killed him and a million others. Greed is indeed an evil sin.
