NRM is partly the “opposition”. So, where is the real opposition?

Hello Dr. Kiiza Besigye,
As we continue with this interesting discussion have members pointed out that nearly all current opposition leaders are strongly affiliated with NRM in a way , either as former NRM die hards or through financial benefits.

Those who have no strong connections like may be who, its hard to come up with a name, ooh Bwanika I guess manage to get around 0.000012 % of the votes in national elections.

In my days at Makerere we had this dude who stood up for guild president , his girl friend was fried in the Box a.k.a towers, a.k.a Mary Stuart ( Malayas or whatever!), ( Living stone, oyee, Africa oyee, Raaaaaaa), but when the results came back the dude got 0 votes from the towers, not even his girl friend voted for him, infact his campaign manager voted for someone else too!

So you go figure, the saying goes that Politicians or men not sure are like dogs, and never assume that those who pretend to be married in the public actually share a bed at night, some havent had nothing for months or years.

So please, snap out of it, defeating NRM should not even be the goal for this current opposition leaders at this time.If politics was a chess game , the opposition is playing with NRM Magnus.

Take note that it doesn’t matter how many wheels a truck trailer has or how many carriages a train has the head determines the direction it will go, howbeit the rails can be tweaked with or it can temporally be derailed but in the head the control engine is the most important part.

Now you figure who the masses are following in Uganda then hopefully you will partially agree with me on this.

What we have right now in Uganda is a controlled opposition, not by fire arms but by choice of the head. NRM is giving you as many choices as possible, just look at the whole line up, mean while we are getting close to the elections and still involved in opposition circus.

And please don’t forget the fact that no one is even invested in the Election Commission as they should because that is the pressure valve if they lose they will complain that the election were ringed.

Its a total mess, that’s why unfotunatley change is going to be a generation issue and the best that can come out of the opposition is increase in members of opposition in parliament because these are as local as you can get and NRM can not easily chose who they want and can lose easily as witnessed in the several by-elections.

Concentrating on parliament membership will also go far in teaching the Nation what Democracy is because many just dont get it, the fact that the minority views can be ignored as the majority views are implemented is very foreign to many and once they get it the choices will be easy to make and from these opposition members of parliament Uganda might get a viable none NRM transfused challenger.

“Uganda needs a strong opposition to strengthen its democracy.”

Haters say Amin only brought miserly to Uganda but that’s not true

President of Uganda Idi Amin Dada poses with his new bride Sarah Kyolaba after their wedding in August1975 at Shimoni Nile Mansions Nakasero Kampala Uganda

In early 70’s we had a very different Uganda, we never had cell phones we never had pagers and we never had International Dialing ability. So every phone call that was made out of Uganda to out of Uganda except East Africa had to be dialed by a Kampala operator who called the London operator through the Longnot station of Kenya then we would get connected. We remained into this hostage till when Amin decided to build the Ombachi satellite station to make Uganda independent in communication.

There are two reasons why that satellite was built, we needed to get off the dependence of Kenya but through the services nearer to the people, Northern Uganda had to be automated. When you throw the satellite in Ombachi you can have Arua Kitgum Gulu and probably Masindi automated, and you get a good chance of selling a service to Sudan as well. Let us remember that in as much as we had a fight with Kenya always, Amin pushed for the opening up of Sudan to be our get way than Kenya. After Ombachi was built, we realized that it would not serve the purpose of breaking off Kenya because it was not built on the Uganda dial tone line. Uganda dial tone line reads Mbale Jinja Kampala Masaka Mbarara. So to have an effective satellite in Uganda it has to be built somewhere on that line. That is why a second satellite of Mpoma, which I think should be called Iddi Amin communication center, had to be built in the dial tone line and it served the purpose of making us independent to today.

There was no building of communication value at a time as Telephone house, that is the small building on Colville street if I remember my Kampala map good, just above Kampala main post office. That building was of a greater value at a time for all communications passed through it. When you walked into the carrier room you would find a circuit feeding Uganda Television and another one feeding Radio Uganda. Again we had one radio station an AM and a Bobi probably was the name, Gook no we did not have FM stations then. At that location you would unplug the circuit of Radio of Uganda, plug in a mike and talk over the frequency directly to the people. If my memory is good The Arube takeover was announced from that same building same location, so if you managed to take that building you pretty had power over the studios of radio Uganda. But you also had the power over the international phones as they come or leave Uganda. And that is the section I need to write about this morning. A section of the carrier room in telephone house where you would use the international telephone system.

A kid or kids out of Uganda Commercial bank main {UCB}, working with a post office technician in the carrier room of telephone house, arranged to access the Bank of Uganda account in New York, sent instructions to transfer so much out of the account to an account in London. The money was authorized and ended up transferred to a UK account. Bank of Uganda was notified as it was and Bank of Uganda informed Amin of the transfer for it was illegally done. Iddi Amin called Lieutenant Jumna Ali, or Butabika who was the commander of Bombo barracks and handed him a mission. Juma there is an employee or employees of UCB main that have swindled money out of the account in New York, go to the bank and find out who transmitted it and get it back. Juma Ali knew only one thing, to command a barracks and he never knew that we had a bank account in New York, let alone why? Why not in Uganda? But this instruction was handed to him face to face by the president so he had to do it with a people with degrees that have decided to be anti-Uganda.

Juma Ali drove from State House directly to Bombo barracks and instructed his soldiers to be battle ready, for we have an enemy who wants to kill the president and he is in UCB main. They cut trees and tie branches on tanks and started to roll down Bombo road towards Kampala. Juma came south with a minimum of about 50 tanks battle ready with him, driving a jeep in front of them as any good reliable barracks commander. A word started to come from Kampala commanders of how tanks are rolling in towards Kampala and Butabika is in front of them. They don’t know where he is going and as far as concerned Bombo had no agenda that day to bring the tanks to the city. But these tanks are dressed for a battle field. Is Butabika going to blow up the city? No one knows. He drove directly to UCB main, and parked them all over the North of the building, so The Caltex gas station was closed, and they took is over, Christ the King area and all to the UEB building where it was, one wonders if it still exists. When all the fire power had been pointed to the bank building, Juma Ali drove his jeep and parked it in front of the bank on Kampala road. He pulled his SMG and walked into the building with a couple of soldiers. Juma requested to see the manager of the bank who showed up. Now on that building you have a lower part which is a basement hall, huge. Whoever showed up as a manager was handed one instruction, get everyone in the building into the basement I have an issue to talk to them. You have 5 minutes to make sure everyone is sitting in the basement. And basically what he needed was every one, managers assistant managers, customers, grand ma has come to visit his kids at work. It does not matter, every crap in the building goes in the basement.

When he walked in to address them he said only two sentences. Bank of Uganda has told the president that you have taken money out of Bank of Uganda account in New York and sent it to London, I need to go back to Entebbe to inform the president that the money has been moved from London to the Bank of Uganda account. You have two hours and good bye. Sir but I do not work in the bank. Nope I don’t hear. Juma Ali with his soldiers walked out of the building and went to Caltex and watched the clock tick. While out side he made two things, {a} He instructed the soldiers to start digging 2 feet trenches all around the building and {b} He called a company out of Kawempe called Roko construction to pull all their tippers full of sand to Kampala road just near the UCB main building. The trenches were important for he wanted to put in the bombs to blow up the building, and when he blows up the building, probably it will fall in Kubuli it would leave a huge crater on Kampala road, he needed the sand to fill up so that it remains a filled up crater till when the government decides on what to do with the plot. And never ever delude your self Juma Ali was going to blow it all up including all those inside, they built the building they had the ability to replace it.

An hour 45 minutes in the drill, a nice lady walked out of the basement with a paper with a reference number, Mr. Juma Ali go to the president and inform him that the money has been transferred from London back to the account in New York by this reference number. New York in the meantime, sent the very same number to Bank of Uganda so the confirmation was legitmet. Juma Ali escorted his tanks out of the city center towards Bombo road, when they passed through Kawempe, he handed them to his second command, and he started to drive towards State House to inform the president on how the money has been got back. What is strange is that Juma Ali never wanted to know who stole it, Juma Ali had no time of being educated about reference numbers let alone time differences, he never wanted to arrest anyone, but he sent a very clear message through, that he does not belong in banks and he does not need holding lunches with degree holders, yes it is alright for you to have a degree and work in a bank, but just don’t let Juma Ali show up to your door for you have screwed up the country. Until Iddi Amin left the government, there was never again a known record of any one transmitting money out of that account illegally. No you did not want to see Lt. Juma Ali’s face saying “Prejident amechema chacha …………….” That was a very bad start of a very terrible sentence. For some very unknown reason degree holders have been the very tragedy of Uganda that afar.

None of Amin’s tribesmate or fellow Muslims run out of the country with stolen money as is the case today

33 year Old Idi Amin Dada 1961

33 year Old Idi Amin Dada 1961

None of Amin’s tribesmate or fellow Muslims run out of the country with stolen money as is the case today:

There is a very interesting point about Amin’s government that when you look very closely at it, there is no single West Niler let alone Moslem or Munubbi that ran out of the country with stolen money. A man like Moses Ali flew out of Uganda with money un imaginable and het he always came back and was a poor man. It was Baganda it was Easterners, but most importantly it was non Moslems that stole the money out of Uganda under Amin. One wonders what that tells us about being a non Moslem and nationalism.

When you look at those that left the country after stealing it again they were the Ocen Nekyon that are neither Banubbi let alone Moslems. Every West Niler I know of every Moslem I know of that was sent out of Uganda to do national purchases all came back. And yet even though you explain that point word for word, Ugandan strive not to how well the country runs but how educated are those running it.

Let me post a comment from a certain Ugandan that she made in this very forum and I directly quote “for instance by placing uneducated alot in managerial positions. Almost all the parastatals were managed by hand picked Nubians who spoke only Kiswahili as a second language. Imagine the ministries were headed by army officers who could not spell their names, compare that to Obote’s regime when all the ministers were over qualified for the jobs they were assigned. “ End quote.

let us look at Moses Ali :what education did that man have honestly? And yet he transformed our country in massive ways. Let us look at Ali Fadul, or Garandi, let us look at Ssebbi and the list goes on and on, this Ugandan fails to realize the successes they had in running the country because they never had a degree. Seriously do you see Kampala becoming a Ghetto it is when Nassur Abdullah is the governor? But he is out of the game of running the country for to Ugandans he does not have a God damn degree.

Just on record. The current minister for presidency and Minister of Kampala Capital City Authority a Frank Tumwebaze holds the degree of Bachelor of Science with Education {BSc/Ed} ,he also holds a degree of Masters in International and diplomatic studies. There is no debate that the man has a better education than Nassur Abdullah yet Nassur Abdullah has a better running Kampala than Frank Tumwebaze. One wonders where this simple fact puts the Ugandan that wrote the quote above. But that is the population we have in that country.

The same Ugandan states and I again quote “he was reduced to a beggar in the Middle East and the rest is history. The one thing he did, was squander the riches of Uganda for military hardware“ .Now that is a very complex issue, was Amin reduced to a beggar? Heck no he was never a beggar but a man that knew how to make friends.

I have stated that we need to preserve the Mbale university, why? Because we need a direct infusion of cash into a country sucked dry by degree holders. Did Amin invest into weaponry? Yes he did and trust me if he did not invest into weapons, The Ocen Nekyon’ s would have murdered half of you by today. And those that Amin failed to protect are today dead. But there is another factor, The money Amin brought to the country was used by all of you. Moslems ,non Moslems ,Banubbi non Banubbi as long as you were a Ugandan.

Many of you used The Libyan Arab Bank for the Jamahiriya Republic to borrow millions of dollars that you invested into your businesses and investments. 99% of you never came back to pay for when The Nekyon came in they failed to follow through such banks as national banks they just continued to loot to their destructions.

This Ugandan is failing to realize that had Amin borrowed this money out of world bank we would be holding a debt today. So I get paranoid to understand what this Ugandan really needs. He is complaining about Museveni that has used the name of uganda to borrow all money he needs and for family use, a money you and I will pay back, but he is complaining as well about Amin that got money from uganda friends.

Amin left no debt and he never took the weapons that we bought, he left all of them inside Uganda only to be shipped out to Tanzania by The Nekyon. What exactly do Ugandans hate about Iddi Amin if simply put hot air. A whole lot of Western Media stupidity and the ignorance of Ugandan that suck on it.

Until April 24 2014 you have not done anything better in Uganda to beat on Iddi Amin.

Every Muganda knows exactly where their land is!

 A young Kabaka Daudi Chwa.

A young Kabaka Daudi Chwa.

Buganda is not divided between Bakopi, Bakungu, Baami and Royalty. That’s an erroneous colonial classification. All Baganda who successfully trace their ancestry have automatic access to ancestral and communal land.

Every Muganda with the exception of wannabe Basajjabaakabaka as your good self know exactly where their land is and just about how to commercially acquire their own or access their share from the common pool.

Let me enlighten you a bit, even a private land inheritance of a Muganda would require a stamp of approval from the invisible clan hierarchical structure. The land offices and registries are cognizant of this fact as is the office of the Administrator General that land in Buganda, even privately owned land is a common and communal good.

None Baganda spouses/wives are running court battles trying to grab what they can but having the clan in their way for a selfish end. The result is they sell out to the highest bidder and seek to register fresh personal interest which after a while they realise is affected by the same clan communal interest.

Of course courts aren’t exactly sacrosanct so the bribe may provide a desirable outcome, but this is land that can be followed and claimed for generations to come even without title.

Mote education for you, land estates of the Baganda are named to certain personalities. My own for example by Ancestry marking can be found named under my Ancestors:
Land in Entebbe spanning the entire expanse of Nkumba, Kitoolo to Nakiwogo is called Bufiulu after my Jajja Ffulu whose headquarter is in Nkumba. The University stands on these Same Estates and the Current Heir to Ffulu is on the university Board.

Kiyemba and Kirwazza in Bulemeezi are named after my Jajjas Muyemba and Mulwazza, Buwungu an 8 Square Mile estate in Busiro after Jajja Kajoba Kawungu.

Other estates are individually owned by notables in Buganda, Mpanga forest in Mawokota is part of the 8 Square Mailo estate of my Jajja Magunda of Lwanga Mpigi, Gganda for Nakku another 8 square mile clan interest, Kyebando for Kyabaggu and so on and so forth.

Every Muganda worth his salt knows where their land is. We don’t just have Ettaka, but Obutaka! I am a Nnansangwa and not a Mukopi. Every Muganda knows their place and stature. The heading you position as a damacles sword is for you and other wandering culturally uprooted communities trying to be more Muzungu who Kuzungas or wanders than Afrikan who is grounded, anchored and branded.

That’s how the system which predates your celebrates LC and unitary works. Under the grabber land law regime, the first applicant automatically assumes ownership and a worse overlordship than the Buganda cultural administration could ever be over her peoples!

I stand for the self awareness, self actualization, natural and conscious integration of indigenous and traditional Afrikan nationalities into new Afrikan States and sub-national entities looking to each other for peace and Prosperity.

The Panafrikanist pushes for an entrenchment and continuity of the crippling and exploitative systems of old, which I do not. We work towards an Afrika where the elders role and position is restored over the leader, and the leader reassumes the servant role to the people.

It doesn’t matter what you call me, I am Afrikan because I am Muganda, a clansman, Branchsman, Totem Polesman, Linesman and a Family Bondsman.

Zuukuka, smell the coffee, the East and West have blown a gasket and are in receivership either way you look at it. They are outdoing themselves for a share of Afrika because “Nobody” Owns it. In my side of town, the Baganda still do and you had better learn from them or perish.

Gen.’Kalekyezi’ Kayihura and Gen.Aronda are the most trusted people in Museveni’s government!

As usual Ugandans are at it again; amused by Kayihura’s role in theMbabazi tape saga. Interestingly, they are even questioning the IGP’s neutrality! It is this ignorance of Ugandans that Museveni has exploited for decades in order to hold on to power.

Below, let me set the record straight:-

Gen. Aronda Nyakairima, the Minister of Internal Affairs and Gen. Kale Kayihura aka Kalekyezi the Inspector General of Police are Museveni’s most trusted cadres. They are the helm of the country’s internal affairs by design to formulate, implement/.enforce Museveni’s designs of the life Presidency project. Right from the bush days, Aronda being a master of intrigue; had no other role other than whispering into Museveni’s ear about those with divergent views. He had no defined role and never went for combat operations but stayed around the High Command as Muzei’s (Museveni) boy.

Upon taking over power in 1986, Museveni assigned Aronda to take charge of policing Kampala city. Being a senior member of military intelligence (DMI) at Basiima House, he set up his command post at the Central Police Station (CPS) and policed the entire Kampala city. His operations were responsible for the harassment of the so called Anyanyas (people from the west nile, northern and eastern Uganda) who were linked to the previous regime. As a result many were forcefully evicted from government buildings, terminated from civil service and parastatals. The harassment was characterized by arbitrary arrests and detentions. Its during this time that many former civil servants hailing from those regions fled the the country to exile.

All along Aronda had continued to also double as the Intelligence Officer of the Presidential Protection Unit (PPU) Throughout the late 80s and early 90s. Actually his role was more than an Intelligence Officer but someone who was the top most in-charge of Museveni’s personal security and covert political errands. It is that capacity that Aronda was to play a vital role in concealing Museveni’s extra marital relationship with a female State House keeper who was hailing from Aronda’s home village of Kebisoni in Rukungiri. This same lady bore Museveni children and eventually became the second lady. Later on Museveni appointed Aronda as the Deputy DMI under the figure head DMI Fred Tolit. Like was the case with his son Muhoozi, Museveni has rushed Aronda through advanced military courses at overseas military colleges earning him the prestigious Past Staff College (Psc) when he was at the rank of Captain. While he was the DDMI. Museveni appointed Aronda among the army representatives to the Constituent Assembly (CA).

Its during the CA that Aronda’s political allegiance to Museveni came to prominence. Though he made no single contribution on the floor of the CA, Aronda took the lead role in coordinating Museveni’s behind the curtains role in the constitution making process. With an office at the International Conference Center manned by Susan Kazoora, Aronda would lure some CA delegates into towing the Museveni line of thinking. Among the many who fell into his trap were Musa Echweru (former UPA rebel and now Minister) and Simon Mulongo (MP). It was during the same time that Aronda using the vast financial resources at his disposal managed to neutralise the Itongwa rebellion. The said rebellion was suspected to be a pro-Buganda uprising to demand for FEDERO (federalism) that had just been treacherously defeated in the CA. Just like Kayihura is doing against the Mbabazis, at the time Aronda used the financial might to buy off Baganda lumpens into betraying Maj. Itongwa and group. The Itongwa rebellion coincided with the controveral positions taken by Gen. Tinyefuza in the CA and his subsequent moves to leave the army. It was suspected that Tinyefuza was in alliance with Mengo. Aronda took the lead in coordinating all the intelligence gathering pertaining to Tinyefuza’s relationship with Mengo. Salongo Lulika of Makulubita and son of a prominent Lukiko member was the courier between Tinyefuza and Mengo but was reporting to Aronda on every step. Then Lt. Banson Monday of DMI was tasked with surveillance on Tinyefuza both in Kampala and his home in Ntutsi. Its Aronda who was responsible for conduting huge sums of cash between State House and the some Justices and judicial officers to ensure that Tinyefuza lost the petition. To better appreciate Aronda’s strength, one need to look at a scenario where former Vice President Samson Kiseka wrote a note to Aronda with pleas to help him (Kiseka) have an audience with Museveni! At the time Aronda was neither an aide de camp (ADC) to Museveni nor his Private Secretary but of course Kiseka being a founder member and one time Vice President knew what Aronda was to Museveni.

From DMI, Museveni deployed Aronda to the strategic Mechanised Brigade and then to northern Uganda to take charge of Operation Iron Fist against the LRA. Obviously, that operation was a failure and Aronda abandoned it after narrowly escaping death in a road ambush along the Karuma-Gulu Road. That ambush was rumoured to have been masterminded by NRA’s own Geofrey Muheesi who at the time was feared to be a Tinyefuza loyalist. Museveni withdrew Aronda from field operations and instead appointed him the Army Commander. As Army Commander, Aronda’s major role was to ensure that the army is personalised under the guise of professionalising it. To achieve this, Aronda made sure that he planted into strategic command positions a clique of officers who had served under either DMI/CMI or the PPU. Above all, Aronda oversaw the development of the PPU into a Brigade (PGB) and later Special Forces Group (SFG). He incorporated strategic units of the army like Mechanised, artillery and air defence, air force and motorised units into the SFG. He oversaw the taking over of its command by Museveni’s son Muhoozi. Having accomplished this vital component of Museveni’s life presidency project, Museveni moved Aronda to the Internal Affairs Ministry leaving Katumba Wamala as as a figure head commander of the regular army whose strength had been overtaken by the SFG. Therefore the SFG is Aronda’s brain child and remains its founding father.

Having successfully accomplished personalisation process in the army, Museveni responded to thechanging political environment in the country by posting Aronda to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. His undisclosed job description is the militarisation of the regular police, turning it into an enforcement branch of his NRA party, suppression of all forms of political dissent, suffocating opposition activism, bringing the immigration services under the intelligence services, overseeing the operations of Internal Security Organisation (ISO) and the overseeing the operations of District Commissioners as heads of district security committees. Above all Aronda is charged with the enforcement of the draconian public safety act. Like Museveni, Aronda’s Ugandan citizenship is questionable and now that he is the head of the National Identity exercise, he is to ensure that the highly protected Banyarwanda pastrolists (balalo) who have been a nuisance to some communities are granted citizenship through issuance of national identity cards. Also, at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Aronda is supposed to act as a link between the army and the civil law enforcement agencies like Police, ISO and Local Councils.

On his part Gen Kale Kayihura had been under the commissariate department of the army responsible for political indoctrination. He is a Mufumbira from Kisoro and son of a prominent pre-independence politicial Kalyekyezi. General Kale Kayihura decided to shorten his Kalekyezi name to Kale in order to disguise his Banyarwanda linkage though he is rumored to have been fathered by Rwakanengyere – a prominent Hima from Ankole. Museveni was later to appoint his as his Principal Private Secretary (PPS) where Kale is on record for facilitating the encroachment of Katonga wildlife reserve in Kabarole by Hima Pastrolists from Mbarara distric. In his directive, Kayihura wrote “the cattle keepers will help to check on the wrong elements hiding in the game reserve”. Years later the same Kayihura was to make a similar directive for the Hema cattle keepers from DRC to occupy part of Semuliki game reserve. Museveni deployed Kayihura to head the Revenue Protection Services – an anti smuggling outfit whereby he helped a lot in planting the home boys into the prestigious revenue body (URA). Later on w Museveni was to deploy him to the police as the Inspector General of Police (IGP). Kayihura replaced Katumba wamala who had been diverted to the Police purposely to give room for Kaziini to climb the ladder. In the Police Katumba Wamala had gained some popularity among the civilians – which is treasonous under Museveni but the Police remained ‘hostile’.

Kayihura together with Aronda as Deputy DMI had been responsible for smuggling Paul Kagame from Rwanda into Uganda and beyond and back when he was still the Vice President without the then President Bizimungu knowing. Aronda had been Kagame’s best man during the later’s wedding. It is this relationship of Aronda and Kayihura that helped alot in cementing the Kagame/Museveni relationship that had gone sour after the Congo clashes. Kayihura’s role in the atrocities in the DRC’s Ituri region is a subject of indictment by the ICC. His role in brutally suppressing political dissent within the country is well documented and has earned him the nickname of Afande Tear Gas.

Both Kayihura and Aronda have Museveni’s blessing in whatever they do. With unlimited access to human and financial resources at their disposal, the two have the capacity to suppress and suffocate any form of dissent and opposition to Museveni’s life Presidency project. They are Museveni’s political assistants in charge of internal security. At all costs, the two will be the last men to abandon Museveni even after Muhoozi and likewise Museveni will never sideline them so long as he is still president. Its a big disappointment for some section of Ugandans to imagine that Aronda was demoted and sidelined when Museveni removed him from the army to Internal Affairs Ministry! It is because of such ignorant that several media houses and some Ugandans have been speculating that Aronda is in league with some big shots who have fallen out with Museveni. Actually another undisputable member of this inner circle is Brig. James Mugira the one time brutal CMI whom Museveni moved to head the Luwero Industries where the army is manufacturing secret weapons with the aid of the government of Russia. Therefore, Kayihura is the manufacturer, while Aronda is the designer and Museveni approves the quality of the product. The two Generals are running a secret newly found intelligence network after Museveni developing doubt in the formal intelligence agencies.

The whole saga reveals the following aspects:-

1. Under Museveni, all the intelligence gathering is directed towards spying on democratic political opponents other than enemies of the state of Uganda. The IGP, Kayihura was gathering information about the activities of those intending to democratically contest for the Presidency against Museveni. The IGP’s role confirms what a loyal cadre of the NRA is supposed to do.

2. His actions further confirm how Museveni runs parallel intelligence organs – one of them now under. The traditional civil intelligence outfit (ISO) has lost Museveni’s confidence. Its evidence that the Mbabazi network has infiltrated the organisation yet according to Museveni it is supposed to be a structure of his political party with total loyalty to him only. The recently much publicised statement pertaining to spy agency running out of funds alludes to the fact that those funds have been deliberately withheld so as to incapacitate it. The arrest and trial in a court martial of one of its senior directors (Maj. Muramagi) over treasonous allegations is a further confirmation. Another senior officer (Capt Katabazi)’s association with the Mbabazis is under investigation and very soon we may see action taken against him and the entire security detail of Prime Minister Mbabazi.

3. Information peddling has always been big business under Museveni. The boom is during such times when there is a perceived thread against Museveni’s life presidency project. The system always puts in place huge amounts of cash for such projects. Actually much as the information peddlers (who are civilians in most cases) reap big, its the officers managing such projects who take the lions share through concocted intelligence briefs and inflated threat assessment. By voluntarily coming to Kayihura, Ahamad Kasirivu was motivated by financial gain. He had done a lot of dirty work for the system in the past but had not only financially benefited but had been abandoned as usual. That is why when the opportunity resurfaced through being approached by the Mbabazi’s, he saw an opportunity to reap big from camps. Both camps are using cash as the motivating factor. While the Museveni camp drawing from the national coffers and the project managers are diverting the lions share personal use, the Mbabazi camp is using personal resources – as to how they accumulated those resources is another question. By the 2016 general elections time, the uncontrolled flow of cash will have created trouble for the economy.

4. Out of ignorance many Ugandans are amused at the wayKayihura is issuing millions of shillings to Kasirivu! They do not know that for decades now this is how the Museveni system has been managing security and political undertakings. Cash is issued out like beans. As Kasirivu took out the one million shillings, another three million was pocketed by Kayihura – disguised as meant for “another group”. This “another group” could be Kayihura himself, his family member, his workers, friends etc. By ordering the officer to “give another three million for another group” at the same time Kasirivu was getting the one million, Kayihura is trying to hoodwink the junior officer who is taking custody of the cash into believing that his boss is drawing the three million shillings for official duties. It has been a practise by many intelligence managers to even bring to the office such relatives, workers, private contractors to the office. After being ushered into the boss’s office and at the end of a private discussion, the boss calls the cashier and instructs him to give such a visitor any amount of cash with instructions that he should sign for such money under guise of being intelligence agents/informers. The cashier and the boss’s close aides will not question the authenticity of such a transaction. Some intelligent aides and cashiers have also been benefiting a lot by also manipulating financial records. The same applies to other resources like fuel, clearance of imported goods, secondment for employment in both government and the private sector. The practice is even done by Museveni in State House whereby public resources are issued to friends and political patrons under the guise of carrying out special assignments. Usually the source of such funds is State House special funds and could even be in foreign currency. Moreover, such expenditures are not open to public scrutiny. That is how intelligence managers(past and present) have managed to accumulate amazing personal wealth. The Mbabazis are aware of such fleecing and diversion of such funds by Museveni’s camp managers and that is why they are not worried of the financial might from their adversaries. Even Museveni is aware that his managers fleece him of almost 70% of the resources that he commits to his dirty politicking. That is why sometimes, he personally delivers the cash to the beneficiaries through the issuing of brown envelopes and sacs of cash.

4. By the time Kayihura met kasirivu the former had already known the later’s story through Sebina Sekitoleko and other sources. Kasirivu must have been convinced by Sebina Sekitoleko to report to Kayihura. That is why Kayihura met Kasirivu in the presence of Sebina. Thats why Kayihura organised the tape recording in order to get something concrete to deliver to Mzei (Museveni) and does less talking during the proceedings. Before meeting Kayihura Sebina and Kasirivu must have discussed at length what to give Kayihura and what not to give him and at what stage so as to optimally gain financially. The two concocted the inclusion of Gen Aronda and Brig. James Mugira in the hope that their information would gain more weight. Like majority Ugandans, the two did not know the two army officers are eternally attached to Museveni. In the same vein they went ahead to involve the top church leaders. Like all information peddlers, Kasirivu was reluctant to give details of all the information he had unless Kayihura came out very clear on what benefits were due to him. Its clear Kasirivu aimed at having an audience with Museveni from whom he hoped to gain more financially including resurrecting his earlier unfulfilled pledges. That is why when Kayihuraso that he can use it to either rob or intimidate the population. Like many others, when Salongo Ssenkayi was a DMI mole in Mengo, he was armed with a pistol.

5. Kasirivu laments about how he has accomplished alot of tasks for the NRA but was not paid. He reveals how him together with others under the command of Lt Musinguzi and Grace Turyagumanawe had masterminded the Kyunga fiasco when the Kabaka was blocked from visiting Kayunga resulting into bloody riots. This confirms that its the likes of Kasirivu and company who have been the goons behind the disruption of peace during peaceful demonstrations, burning of Kasubi Tombs and other fires in the city, Kiboko Squad and all the chaos aimed at tarnishing the image of the opposition. By admitting that they helped certain election contestants to gain victory, Kayihura also confirming the partisan involvement of security forces in election rigging.

6. What the Mbabazis have been doing is a lawful act of mobilising support for a democratic presidential bid. The only issue at hand is that they have been doing it secretly and Mbabazi is reluctant to declare his Presidential bid for fear of grave consequences from Museveni. Under Museveni a mere intent to vie for the top office or becoming popular amounts to high treason. Thats is why retired Captain Ruhinda Maguru is under incerceration. In a civilised society, there is nothing wrong with such and it would be the work of the NRM secretariate to sort out that and not members of security forces. However, since its the Secretary General who is harboring intentions, Museveni is cornered. The Mbabazis have eaten into all the structures of Museveni’s private company – the NRA. The Kasirivus dont qualify to be called inelligence agents or informants for there is neither an enemy of the state nor a crime being comitted. There is no justification for Kayihura the IGP to use public resources in gathering information against those intending to contest against Museveni. That is why the Police officers were able to take the said tape recordings to the Mbabazis. To the nation such officers are patriotic but to Museveni they are subversives.

For now what Museveni can do is to drop Mabazi from Cabinet, concoct treasonous allegations against him and carry out a purge against all those whose loyalty is questionable. At worst, Museveni can either amend the NRA constitution to escape the delegates conference where the Mbabazis have laid a deadly ambush or postpone the 2016 general elections. On their part, the Mbabazis have been making calculatations basing on the much craved for change by Ugandans which the traditional opposition groups have failed to deliver. Mbabazi has moblised so much support within the NRM such that the main stream opposition can not achieve much without involving him. Mbabazi’s differences with Museveni are irreconcilable and no doubt further isolates the later leaving him to only bank on the Hima/Rwandese ticket in the NRA.

7. It is Gen Robert Aronda as Minister of Internal Affairs and Museveni’s closest confidant in the NRA who is remotely controlling the actions of Gen Kayihura against perceived opposition to Museveni’s life presidency project. As a master of intrigue having been mentored by Museveni himself, Aronda unlike Kayihura operates from underground. He pretends to be shy and humble but is a very dangerous substitute. Much as Kahihura,s role in the saga has come to the public attention because of the leakage, there are many more groups and individuals running the same project and the financial cost is amazing. They all compete to attract the attention of Museveni. For General Kayihura, he was let down by excitement since he lacked experience in handling intelligence.

Amin enjoyed the presidency than anybody I know of!

Idi Amin loved to self-drive a whole lot of times as I stated before, one time he was driving from Gulu to Kampala with only one body guard which he did on many times. For some unknown reason his car broke down into Luwero at about 2am, at a time Luwero Post office had been up graded to a 24 hour service, for he installed the Luwero exchange, and instructed it to work 24 hours under the services nearer to the people project, and he walked to the exchange, knocked the door at 3 am. A kid opens the door and Amin was full in the door, and trust me when he stood in door he would fill it up, and you did not have to ask who are you, for you saw the structure, good day I need a phone to call Kampala for my car has broken down. They called the number and he talked to some one and in about 30 minutes there were about 20 cars pull in into Luwero, the president is stranded. What was funny that night was that he drove towards Nakasongola instead of Kampala. So how would you prepare for him that he will show up at 3am? You simply did not know and you just did your work faithfully.

Many times he drove into Kenya by crossing Busia or Malaba, and one of those days he pulled into Malaba and instructed the border guard to lift the pipes. Fungua me nayenda Kenya, and a board guard goes can I see your passport sir? Amin said look at this face that is my passport, don’t you know me? The pipes went up and he crossed in. Same thing on Kenya side. And the Kenyan side had to scramble to call State House Nairobi to inform them that he has driven in, and they have no idea where he was going. But many times he was going into nearby shops, Amin loved to target those Luo girls for he screwed very many of them, and they adored him. But you knew that Eastern brigade was watching you so closely and they need him safe.

Sometimes he drove himself back into Uganda or a heli was sent in to bring him back. The man enjoyed being a president that no president will ever enjoy to his extent, and he had so many of times of showing up very unexpectedly. If we had The East African Rally you would not be surprised with Amin showing up in a leg or two of the rally while driving or being driven by Sarah Amin, and he would take a good car that would make the Datsuns move out of the way, he was good at making those coners sir. He had adorers from men like No parking, who got the name for he was the only soldier that saluted him at Nile Mansion as he boarded a helicopter to Fort Portal and the same soldier drove a 504 to Fort Portal and saluted him off the helicopter. Amin shook his head and named him no parking. And may God help your soul if No Parking is heading to Fort Portal to salute the president off a helicopter and you stand near the road. He was a true pain in the you know what of “High Priced Lawyers”

May the president rest in peace.

The Bannubi under Idi Amin were more patriotic than the Banyankole under Museveni Yoweri

‘President Amin lays the foundation stone of Lake Katwe, salt project in Rwenzori District, western Province, He said Uganda was working towards industrial selfreliance.’

This is what surprise me about these fellows, when Amin came to power Bombo grew up at a high speed. But so did very many services. Nubians knew that they were a part of Uganda and they needed the services to enjoy the life in the country. When you look at the services they introduced in the country they were to make themselves happy with the rest of Ugandans. Illiterate as many were they actually tapped into the international community to bring very many new services to make their lives and the lives of Ugandans exciting. Color Television was installed to make a Munubbi happy in his house as it makes a Mulindwa in Kayunga happy. Mpoma earth satellite was installed to make a Munubbi happy in his house as it makes a Mulindwa in Kayunga happy. Railway coaches were bought in same manner, Scanias Barliets {sp} ,Fiat 110NC and Mirafioris same thing.

And all I am trying to put across is that as much as Banubbi lived in Bombo they built a life for themselves which in turn we all enjoyed in one way or another.

There is no question in my mind that Rwandese have enjoyed life in Uganda and I have no problem with that fact, but it is troubling how they have decided to limit that enjoyment by refusing to install anything in Uganda which can make a Ugandan happy too. You see when you screw up the school system you screw up a Rwandese kid living in Luwero, when you screw a medical structure you screw a Rwandese that live in Nakyesasa as well. When you screw up a road system you screw up a Rwandese living in Kyotera as well. Load shedding affects all of Ugandans including a Rwandese in Matugga. So the happiness The Rwandese have done is very well crafted to only exist internally in homes of a class that is typical Rwandese and in up echelons.

‘The love and tenderly touch of a grandma holds on. Mrs Kibedi, mother-in-law of President Amin pictured with her grand-children when they visited her at Mulago Hospital in Kampala

There is poverty in Mbarara that is way worse than in Luwero. And no one should stand up to lie to you today that Banyankole are living a life a Munubbi lived in Uganda. No way. And I am making this comparison for a man like Haji Kadingiddi had all he needed for his life, but so was a Munubbi kid in Wobulenzi. When a Republic Express Services bus rolled on Bombo road that Munubbi kid in Wobulenzi had a transportation system but so was Mulindwa’s son sitting right behind him, they both arrived in Kampala same time.

Museveni boys and girls, on the otherhand, give transportation to only a Rwandese living on Kyaddondo road by handing him a 4X4 for the roads are screwed up and if you are a Rwandese or a Munyankole in Bushenyi you are screwed the very same way an Acholi is screwed in the Dokolo crap.

I am going back to the discussion we had yesterday of Uganda failing to transmit data, how can a Rwandese fail to realize the beauty of data transfer? How can he fail to enjoy that kind of facility? Yes he can refuse himself from enjoying it because that enjoyment will get out of his house and it gets tapped into by my son in Wobulenzi. I found it very fascinating that I can send flowers to Mogadishu on line but not Kampala. Are you kidding me !!!!! There are very many western union hubs in Uganda where you can pick money from, but when you put the number to the clerk he has to make a phone call, do you know why? Because he has to call who ever has access to the data to verify that number and to know how much is on it. There is a reason you cannot know how much you have in a bank in Jinja when your account is in Iganga, banks do not communicate with each other for they communicate through data that we do not transmit. There is a reason I cannot know how many bottles of Uganda waragi are in stock in a shop today in Kampala because shops in Uganda do not access data so they cannot talk. Data transmission is that important in 2014. Because the Rwandese see a larger society success in using data they limited it out of the country. Friends these are very strange people with a very strange agenda.

School Physics better in Uganda or in Canada?

We have to celebrate our stunning success in Uganda’s School Science Standards – specifically Physics, and Chemistry not far behind. Teachers, Parents, Watoto, etc.. we should all march in a ticker-tape celebratory parade along Kampala Road for this success after an effort of forty years.

Also as I have stated several times we are ahead of Canada at least in School Physics.

On the surface, even to me, that kind of claim seems outrageous; even silly.

But here are the facts:-

In 1964 or thereabout President Milton Obote, out of the blue and with no prior public debate, outlawed the Imperial System of Units and Measures and ushered in the UNESCO (Metric) MKS System. He did it “Cold turkey” !! All the old Al-mizane were collected for scrap metal.

The law that Dr Obote made had a very stiff sentence: Luzira for any saboteur caught selling, say meat, there in Nakasero Market using the old Al-minzane of lbs (pounds).

To look at it now we should thank our beloved Dr Obote for pulling us out of barbarism into civilization.

(I have since fallen in love with the Acholi kids who at height of tribulations still were so clear in their speech regarding Units- how far they had walked, the time it took, the speed- in km per hour…………beautiful kids those Acholi kids. They make me very proud.)

We also note that a year or so later after Obote’s move the then British PM Edward Heath copied Obote and introduced MKS in Britain.

Soon after Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Elliot Trdeau also made the Metric System the Law of Canada. But unlike Uganda Canadians never accepted the MKS System.

To the peril of children they vehemently rejected it.

And unlike Obote Trudeau could not force them at the point of a gun.
Trudeau accomplished so much for Canada but the Metric System proved his Achilles heel.

The compromise was to use both systems simultaneously. And that was the tragedy. The two are incompatible and many kids end up mastering neither. Even worse at the basic psychic level the Imperial System becomes destructive “noise” to the Metric.

And this is serious stuff. If you set 250 as the temperature of a Boiler it really matters whether it is 250 deg C or 250 deg F.

If you look through the Canada Grade Thirteen (equivalent Uganda’s S.6) School Textbook you would agree with me that it is just trash. I never keep this book at my place. I always toss it into the garbage bin.

Where Canada beats us is in Maths.

Indeed there is no Maths in Uganda. None at all. That is why even our success in Physics is meaningless.

In the 1960’s Uganda had Double Maths. Today Uganda’s Maths is below General Science.

It has even been made subordinate to the fleeting fad of so-called IT. ( Physics, Chemistry and IT are now compulsory at Budo. Maths is not even mentioned, imagine the shame)

So folks, this is a partial explanation why Uganda’s School Physics/Science is a higher grade to Canada’s. Just partial.

Amin contributed so much to women empowerment in Uganda

Voice of Uganda. Saturday, January 15, 1977. 'Dr. Amin and his wife Sarah pose for a group photograph with Korean and indiginous medical staff at Kawolo Hospital. The Marshal had a check-up. The Minister of Health, Mr. Henry Kyamba is fourth from left back row.'

Voice of Uganda. Saturday, January 15, 1977.
‘Dr. Amin and his wife Sarah pose for a group photograph with Korean and indiginous medical staff at Kawolo Hospital. The Marshal had a check-up. The Minister of Health, Mr. Henry Kyamba is fourth from left back row.’

Until Iddi Amin came to power, Uganda women were never allowed to serve into Uganda Police/prisons. The government of UPC limited access to Uganda Police/prisons to only men with such height and such waist and such chest width. The very dimensions the colonial masters wrote on our books are the ones that UPC left for Uganda Police/prison. Iddi Amin changed that too when Alli Towilli started to recruit women into Uganda Police force. If we did not get Iddi Amin to power and we remained with the Ocen Nekyon’ s we would have never seen the face of Nabakooba today, she would probably be sititng in Gook’s kitchen cooking Malwakwang. There is no known woman that ever served into Uganda Police or prison or army till Iddi Amin opened up that discrimination based on gender.

Amin believed that if a man can use a gun so can a woman. Most of the killers in Uganda today are actually women. By the way most of the sharp shooters we have in this city are women too. They were recruited and they did a very good job. One of those days we got a man in Mukono who had a gun, he would wake up in the night and go to kill people in Kyaggwe area. Police went after him but they never got the gun. State research followed him but the man was very careful that no one would find that gun. At one point state research saw him walking into the house with his gun in the night and called in Uganda Police to search the house. They turned the house upside down but found no gun.

As military Police and State research bureau wondered how this man keeps his gun he continued to murder people. Ali Towilli asked permission to take over the investigation as a director of training and operation, Iddi Amin as chairman of the Police council allowed him to do so. Now we need answers for the president wants this killing to end. What do you think he did, he got a woman Police Officer and plant her into Mukono town. Created a store for her as a business woman and rented a house for her. She was given all the money she needed only to find out how she can access this man and find that God damn gun. Lilian as she was named, became a new citizen of Mukono trading center with a business but showing up in circles where this individual frequented, and guess what? He dated her.

The woman moved in with him and they became a couple publicly and privately, they were actually married in a church. This man sold a story to her that he was a taxi driver in Kampala and worked only in nights, she agreed. And one of those days, after he had trusted her he opened up to her to tell her how he has a secret. I have a gun in this house and here is where I hide it never ever tell a soul. Do you know where he was hiding it? When you walk into the living room there was a coffee table, that coffee table was sitting on a small carpet which had well-built hole with a concrete cover sliding on and off. So Police was looking all over the God man place when standing on the very gun its self. The day he told the secret was the day the man was arrested, and he was actually sent to Uganda from Tanzania.

The deaths in Kyaggwe stopped. Akim Odong, the value of this experience is the part I have left out all along in this narration, Lilian lived with this man as a wife to a point that they had two kids a boy and a girl. The day he was arrested they were both handed over to Sanyu Babies home, and no one knows what happened to them after. Lilian went back to her barracks as any other Police Officer. When you complain about Museveni and this government, you need the strength to accept Iddi Amin with his government, they did a part we must accept to be good.
